To your surprise, I have been teaching English for over 15 years. I started teaching English professionally when I was 17 years old. Since I grew up in America and was raised there, English was the firs language I learned how to speak. And yes, I have an American accent.
As an ESL, EFL teacher, I believe having a good and hands-on lesson plan is key to teaching and getting good and effective results. As teachers, we always have to know the topic, subject we're going to teach and we should always have the right answer or the right trick up your sleeve. I believe STT (Student's talking time) is one of the most efficient ways for students, learners to practice a language. They have to be given the chance to use the lessons they have learned, make mistakes and be corrected when necessary. This is might sound odd or unbelievable, but I have never had a student who failed their IELTS, TOEFL or school exams. I consider myself caring, thoughtful, hardworking, easy to communicate with and fun.
