Hi, I’m Yasmina!
~ I majored in Psychology (taught in English) at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and am a fluent English speaker at the C1 level, having studied the language since elementary school.
~ I studied at EF Education First for five consecutive years and successfully passed Cambridge proficiency exams including KET, PET, and FCE.
~ Upon graduating high school, I certified my English proficiency by scoring 91 on the TOEFL iBT and 1100 on the SAT.
~ Over the past four years, I completed my bachelor’s degree entirely in English and wrote two thesis papers in the English language.
~ I have some experience in online English tutoring, working with both children and adults.

1) My teaching methods:
• Let's aim for an immersive learning (english will be the only language used throughout the lesson, to encourage thinking in english rather than translating).
• Let's focus on real-life conversation and fluency (the goal is to speak, make mistakes, and learn through the interaction).
• Task-based learning (lessons are built around practical tasks like writing an email, preparing a presentation, having a small talk in a social setting).
• Visual and interactive tools (i use personalized presentations, videos, movies, songs, and quizzes to make lessons engaging).
2) How do I conduct the lessons:
Each lesson is adapted to the student's goals and level. We usually start with a brief introduction and a quick skill check. After setting learning goals together, I will prepare materials tailored to your level and interest. My lessons are relaxed, interactive, and focused on real communication.
3) About me as a teacher:
I'm patient, understanding, and supportive. I aim to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I will meet you where you are and help you grow with confidence. As someone with a degree in Psychology, I have knowledge of both "language learning" and how to help students overcome learning anxiety!
