Greetings,
My name is Burcu Pehlivan and I am interested in applying for an English teaching position. I
have more than 19 years teaching experience in private schools, as well as giving private lessons.
I am a Certified Cambridge Speaking Examiner. I am fully fluent in English (Native
Level) with a clear accent. I have been teaching for 23 years and I have experienced for YLE,
KET and PET for 10 years in my schools and I have been doing Cambridge exams officially for
5 years. In addition to this I am experienced in preparing young learners for
the starters, movers and flyers exams.
I have been working as a head of department in my previous schools such as Şahin Schools, Enka
Schools and now here at TED schools.The most important thing for being as a head of department
is; to make my teachers to collaborate and to communicate each other. I also have prior
International Baccalaureate, (IB) experience and training in MYP.
I am working for TED KOLEJI a private K-12 school. In this school I am mainly teaching in the
middle school.I am also a teacher trainer and do some various classroom activities to train my
teachers.For my entire teaching experience,I have been exposed to a variety of principles,
pedagogy, and strategies for teaching and classroom management and a lot of certificates for ELT
and also MYP.I attended various kinds of MYP workshops.
During the pandemic,I have worked online and it has been great experience for me and for my
students to give my energy and enthusiasm and get the same energy from them.
Lastly, I would like to mention that I also teach English online. I teach to a variety of students in
Turkey.The students I teach online are of various ages from elementary all the way to pre-
university.
