As a sociologist, I have always been passionate about exploring the use of language and this has enabled me to gain so much knowledge about how we use not only English, but languages in our day to day lives, and I would be glad to impart this knowledge.
Learning multiple languages over the years myself, as well as having several friends from all over the world whose "native tongues" vary, has also exposed me to many of the problems that people typically face when learning a new language; more specifically English. This is why I'm so confident that I'll be able to help you pursue your goals.
Moreover, I always strive to create a calm and peaceful learning environment through patience and understanding, as I understand from my own experience how taxing learning a new language can be.

Hello there!
If you're an intermediate English speaker looking to improve your communication skills and express yourself more natively or organically, you're in the right place.
My main goal as a teacher is to enable you to take your English to the next level by helping you understand the key areas in your speech and writing that are hindering your progress, and show you ways to change these and thus make you a more advanced speaker. Examples of this could be examining the different parts of speech and how they work together in sentences, improving your use of appropriate grammar and vocabulary etc.
Furthermore, if your goal is to pursue more complex tasks such as oratory or the comprehension of English literature works, I may also help you in this having over seven years of experience in the world of oratory and four years in literature.
I am also more than willing to teach you commonly spoken phrases and more practical English, for example, slang or phrases that will make you sound more native. Kindly let me know what your preferences are.
I structure the lessons around the needs of the student by identifying your areas of interest and working with you to improve your English in those areas first. This will mainly involve integrating your weaker subjects into your stronger ones.
I, unfortunately, will only be catering to intermediate English speakers and above (level B1 and beyond). My preferred age group is 16-30 but I may be willing to accommodate students out of this age group on a case by case basis. The reason for this is that I am most familiar with the needs of the students within that age group and will be better able to help them improve their English in the most appropriate manner.
