Hello / Merhaba! I am Öyküm Meres, a certified and professional Turkish language teacher for non-native speakers. I graduated from Dokuz Eylül University with a Bachelor's degree in Primary School Teaching. Being a graduate of the Faculty of Education means I am fully trained in pedagogy, diverse learning styles, and effective curriculum development. To combine this teaching background with language instruction, I earned my official certification in "Teaching Turkish as a Second Language" from Yıldırım Beyazıt University. I have a wealth of international and multicultural experience. I lived in Caracas, Geneva, Moscow, where I conducted freelance Turkish language classes. Additionally, I worked full-time at the Pakistan Embassy International Study Group (PEISG Schools) in Ankara, teaching in a 100% English-speaking, international environment. Since I speak fluent English (C1) and intermediate French (A2), I can easily communicate with absolute beginners, explaining the structure and logic of the Turkish language using bridge languages. My lessons are far from boring grammar drills. Instead, they are energetic, interactive, and highly motivational!
