Hello, I'm Melda Günay Karadal, from Turkey. I’m at the age of 27. I’ve studied German Language Teaching at University of Anadolu, Eskişehir,Turkey and my BA degree education was %100 in English in Turkey with the intention of enhancing myself more and more because I always have an insatiable desire for knowledge. I was excited to find your posting for an English and German as a Second Language teacher thanks to my friend Özge who is currently working in your school . Additionally, I am confident that I would make an excellent addition to your teaching team because of my passion for helping students, my teaching and cultural experiences and I’ve a wide horizon.
I taught ESL to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students of various cultural and linguistic backgrounds since 2015 and I developed critical pedagogic and classroom management skills, along with a passion for teaching English. Besides, I’ve also had the certificate of pedagogical education and I’ve been trained for a year. In Addition to this, I’ve been to Europe and have had some experiences in aspects of teaching.

I'm equipped with the Communicative Teaching Method, TPR, Audolingual Method, Direct Method, etc. I apply these methods in the virtual classroom through interactive, student-centered activities that maximize student talk time and other activities.Moreover, I scaffold my lessons and create breakout rooms during my lessons so that they include pair and group work in order to motivate and encourage students more. By engaging students in speaking, grammar, writing, listening, and reading and appealing to diverse learning styles, I help them improve their accuracy and fluency across key skill areas.
I typically set aside five to ten minutes at the start of each class for students to share their “highs” and “lows” for the week, a ritual that my students have appreciated as they adapted to new surroundings. My target is to support students’ social-emotional well-being as they learn English and german and deepen their global awareness.
