Hello, my name is Selcan. I am a maritime student with a strong interest in languages, communication, and international environments. English has always been an important part of my academic and personal development because it connects people from different cultures and opens global opportunities.
I decided to start giving online English lessons because I realized that teaching is one of the best ways to both help others and continue improving myself. Throughout my learning journey, I noticed that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they lack confidence and practical speaking experience. I wanted to create a supportive learning space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and actively using English.
My goal as a tutor is to make English practical, understandable, and motivating. I focus on communication, real-life usage, and step-by-step progress rather than memorization. As a maritime student, I also understand the importance of English in international careers and professional communication.
Teaching allows me to share knowledge, build meaningful connections with students, and grow together through learning. I believe language learning should be interactive, encouraging, and enjoyable, and I aim to reflect this approach in every lesson.
