Hello! I’m Hazal. I’m a language instructor who continues her research in Comparative Literature and also has a background in professional English teaching. I’m proficient in using English professionally, speak German at an intermediate level, and have a basic knowledge of Levantine Arabic. I hold a certificate in teaching Turkish as a foreign language from TÖMER
In my lessons, I approach Turkish not merely as a collection of words, but as a living structure. Thanks to my experience in language courses and my background in linguistics, I help you understand the agglutinative logic of Turkish through cause-and-effect relationships rather than simply memorizing it.
Having gone through the process of learning a foreign language personally, I can empathize with the challenges students face when learning Turkish and offer practical solutions.

Who Are the Classes For?
My classes are designed for students of all levels who wish to learn Turkish not only as a basic means of communication, but also in all its logic and cultural context:
Beginner and Intermediate Levels (A1-B2): Those who want to build a basic understanding of Turkish, with correct pronunciation and a strong foundation in grammar.
Academic and Advanced Levels: Researchers preparing for thesis writing, reading academic articles, or taking TÖMER exams.
Literature and Culture Enthusiasts: Intellectuals eager to explore Turkish literature, cinema, and sociology in the original language.
My Teaching Techniques and Methods
In my lessons, I apply the principles of the Communicative Approach and Structural Linguistics. Instead of having students memorize Turkish’s agglutinative structure, I teach syntax and morphology by comparing them to the student’s native language (comparative method). This allows the student to grasp the logic of the language through its “reasons.”
Lesson Structure
I design each lesson using a customized approach called “scaffolding” tailored to your personal goals:
Interactive Warm-up: A short conversation practice related to daily life.
Structured Discovery: Exploring grammar or new vocabulary through authentic texts and digital materials.
Production: Reinforcing newly learned concepts through creative writing or role-play activities.
Analyzing mistakes: Analyzing errors at the end of the lesson in a way that enhances the student’s awareness without disrupting the flow.
